WASHINGTON D.C. – Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler (MO-04) applauded the Senate passage Thursday, of a bill she introduced earlier this year to name the downtown Columbia, MO post office in honor of Missouri-born Specialist Sterling William Wyatt.

Tragically, at only 21-years old, Spc. Wyatt was killed on July 11, 2012 while on patrol in Kandahar, Afghanistan. His vehicle was attacked with an enemy improvised explosive device (IED).

With passage in the Senate, the bill now goes to the President’s desk, where it is expected to be signed into law.
