CHILLICOTHE, MO – State transportation officials plan to rehabilitate the Grand River Bridge south of Chillicothe this year.
According to MODOT, the bridge is one of 45 “high priority” projects throughout the state funded by Gov. Parson’s “Focus on Bridges” program.
Construction is planned to begin on a new bridge deck March 2nd. Workers anticipate full closures of the bridge much later in the year (June, Oct).
MoDOT estimates, the bridge, built in 1965, carries approximately 3,800 vehicles over the Grand River, daily.
