LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Mo.- According to a report from Sheriff Cox of the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, last night the LCSO and the Missouri State Fire Marshall’s Office began investigating a report of improvised explosive devices having been detonated on or near an CR 510 in the northwest part of Livingston County.
The reporting party described driving down the roadway and passing what was described as a trip wire place across the roadway. Upon driving over or through the wire, a small explosion allegedly occurred near the vehicle. The driver continued on and saw similar set-ups down the roadway.
The driver continued to turn around instead of getting any closer and reported a second explosion near the vehicle.
No injuries were reported and very little damage was reported on the vehicle. Additional investigation did not reveal any more devices.
The investigation remains on-going with the assistance of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Missouri State High Patrol Bomb Unit, NITRO-ATF Task Force, and the FBI.
