GRUNDY COUNTY, Mo. — Residents of Grundy County will have the opportunity to take advantage of a residential recycling collection event this weekend.

A release from the North Missouri Solid Waste Management District Region B says the organization is teaming up with the City of Trenton and Grundy County for the residential waste collection event in Trenton on Saturday, September 30.

This collection event is for residents of Grundy County only and there will be absolutely no drop offs allowed for businesses or commercial waste.

Tires will be accepted if they are clean and have the rims removed, as will most kitchen and household appliances. Electronics including computers and TVs are also eligible for recycling through the program, which is funded by a grant from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.

Other household hazardous waste will be accepted as long as it is in its original, sealed container. Some items will be accepted free of charge, however others will have a fee of up to $20 levied.

The event will be held Saturday at 807 East 7th Street, one-half mile east of the Grundy County Courthouse in Trenton from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
