Livingston County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Jim Lightner will be honored at a retirement celebration on Saturday evening. Click to hear KMZU’s Kristie Cross talk to Sheriff Steve Cox:
“Jim actually began his career under Sheriff Leland O’Dell in 1985,” said Cox,” A few years later, he transferred to the police department. He served 14 years there and left as a detective sergeant. He then came here and filled a detective position with our office until he was promoted to chief deputy.”
The reception will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Chillicothe.
Jim is retiring from his full time duty in serving the citizens of Chillicothe and Livingston County for over the last 26 years as a law enforcement officer. During this time Jim has helped many people, made many friends, crossed the paths of some well known criminals, and given all of us many smiles and laughs.
You are invited to stop by or join us in wishing Jim the best.
