A work session will proceed tonight’s (Tue) City Council meeting in Richmond. Click to hear KMZU’s Chelsea Wade speak with City Administrator Ron Brohammer:
The Building Code Committee has been meeting for about four months. The city of Richmond is currently operating under an old building code. The committee consists of plumber, electricians, and others. They will start presenting their findings and recommendations Tuesday night.
Council will also look at estabilishing a policy for economic development. Brohammer said they will specifically consider a tax abatement policy. He hopes it will be applied to businesses looking to move to Richmond.
The regular meeting starts at 6:30.
