The Richmond City Council will begin their meeting Tuesday evening with reports from standing committees. Brohammer said they will then move on to unfinished business. “Our engineer, Mike Milius with Olsson Associates, will give the council an update on the status of the wastewater treatment plant construction,” said Brohammer, “That project is coming along very well and we’re getting near the end of the construction process. The plant is actually operating, but we still have work to do at the south facility.”
Council members will also hear a request from the park board. “The city has acquired a small piece of property at 300 Shaw Street,” said Brohammer, “This was an old house that we took down. The park board is interested in using the property just as a pocket park. We might put up a gazebo and a small playground facility.”
Tuesday’s session will get underway at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers at city hall.
