RAY COUNTY, Mo. — A Richmond resident was held overnight in Ray County after his arrest by the Missouri Highway Patrol Thursday.

According todrug-arrest-300x300 the highway patrol arrest report, Brett D. Smith, 35, was taken into custody shortly before 1:00 yesterday for allegations of felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

Smith has been on a 24 hour hold since his arrest and formal charges are expected this morning.
