RICHMOND, MO – Two suspects have been taken into custody as part of an investigation into the robbery of a Richmond Casey’s on the last day of January , 2017.

Cash and cigarettes were allegedly stolen from the business.  A firearm was also discharged, but no injuries resulted.

Anonymous tips led to an apartment in Independence where investigators allegedly found the weapon, mask, and clothing, shown on surveillance video and used during the robbery.

Warrants were served Tuesday for James Gay of Independence and James Miller of Lexington, who are each charged with robbery in the first degree, armed criminal action, and assault.  An arraignment is scheduled for  March 28.

Bond is set at $200,000 each.
