Richmond museum is hosting a rock concert with a family friendly environment and its free. Click here to listen to Kmzu’s Ashley Johnson speak with Linda Emily, Manager of the Richmond museum.
There will be a free will donation, in hopes that they can raise some money for their upcoming re-enactment. “Eagleton Center here in Richmond is right next to the museum,”Said Emily “About 6 months ago we started doing a monthly fundraiser for The Battle of Albany. One Saturday a month we have Shade Tree Enterprise come down and do a rock and roll concert.”
Because these concerts have grown and became more popular, the museum hopes to keep them going even after the re-enactment is done and over with. “Well this is the one and only battle of Albany, its a one time 150th anniversary event. The whole battle will be free to the public so it’s not a money making venture. We’re just doing it as a historical event.” Emily said “After the battle, we will probably continue on with the music jams and just make it a benefit for the museum and other local history items.”
