Richmond R-XVI school district has a full agenda in their last meeting before the upcoming school year begins. Click to hear KMZU’s Bob Allen talk with Richmond R-XVI Superintendent Damon Kizzire:
Kizzire says Tuesday’s discussion will include a school board leadership award and possible changes in long-term benefits. Currently, the district has a retirement incentive that the board would like to change to an attendance incentive for those who have earned degrees and spent their careers in the district.
In addition, Kizzire hopes to continue focusing on best practices for educators through the implementation of Educational Resource Teachers within the district. The program is one item on Tuesday’s agenda. A look at a national eMINTS program designed to integrate computers, Web2.0, and other innovations into the classroom is on the slate as well.
The board will also hear from the Richmond Park Board about a sidewalk project that would connect the athletics facilities to the high school campus.
The meeting begins Tuesday night at 7:00 at the Board Administrative Office.
