MORGAN COUNTY, Mo. — A Versailles teen was hurt during a crash in Morgan County Tuesday morning.

A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol indicates the single-vehicle accident occurred in the eastbound lane of Route W, two-tenths of a mile east of Marvin Cutoff Road in Morgan County around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.

A car driven by 17-year-old Kaylee E. Howard swerved to avoid an animal in the roadway, sending it off the right side of the roadway.

Howard then struck a road sign and the vehicle rolled over.

Howard, who was wearing a seat belt, was moderately injured in the crash. She was taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital for care.
