RICHMOND Mo. – The Richmond City Council gathered for their regular meeting Tuesday, April 26, 2016 and had a few bills to discuss and act on.
City Administrator Ron Brohammer explained Bill No. 16-12, designating safe zone parking spaces on North Main Street.
Brohammer added that people looking for a secure place to exchange goods and other items that are set up on websites like Craigslist, can also use the zone.
Also part of Tuesday evening’s proceedings, council amended and set new fees for the Compost and Brush site, which also included establishing fines for illegal dumping.
Council also addressed the sewer base rate to residential multi-family facilities.
Administrator Brohammer explains that future multi-family dwellings will be charged the $20.09 base rate for each unit.
Council also discussed the need to appoint new members to the Planning and Zoning Board and Park Board. Administrator Brohammer invited members of the public to step forward and contact city hall at 816-776-5304, if they are interested in serving the Richmond community.
