A 12-foot trailer and 30 gallons of diesel fuel were reported missing from the Zysing Hog Operations Farm Monday morning.
The incident was partially caught on surveillance camera. A white, Ford, crew cab F-250 was seen driving onto the lot, and later hitching the trailer to the truck. One worker was present at the time. He believed the subject worked on another part of the farm until he heard the man drive off with the trailer.
According to the Saline County Sheriff’s Office, the victim said the theft may have been carried out by a former employee.
Two suspects have been taken into custody. Charges have been filed against Terry Berwaldt, 37, of rural Waverly. He is facing three felony counts of receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled substance, and removal of manufacturer’s numbers. The name of the second suspect has not been released at this time.
