The Saline County Board of Equalization is scheduling hearings for people unhappy with their recent property reassessments. Click to hear KMZU’s Sarah Scott speak with County Clerk Debbie Russell:
Russell said her first step is to direct those who come into her office to the Reassessment Team. They will go over the property assessments with the disgruntled citizen.
“And if they’re unable to resolve that with them, then they can come back over here. And we’ll go ahead an set up an appointment. It’s called a BOE (Board of Equalization) appointment, which would allow them an opportunity to come before the Commission to express their concerns,” said Russell.
The deadline to arrange an appointment is Wednesday, July 10th. They appointments will be held the week of July 15th. Russell can be contacted by stopping by Room 202 of the Saline County Courthouse or calling (660) 886-3331. The reassessment team can be reached directly at (660) 886-4380.
