Nash said they believe that people are one of Saline County’s greatest assets. “There’s an entrepreneurial spirit here that’s second-to-none,” said Nash, “This is the second most fertile soil in Missouri, so why not?”

Riggins hopes to work with other counties in the area to increase effectiveness.

The Economic Development Strategic Plan will focus on globalization, education, immigration, and entrepreneurship. The plan is now on display for the public to view.
