The Marshall Salt Fork YMCA is asking for the public’s assistance and it’s as easy as clicking a button to cast a vote.  McComas talked about the D.R.E.A.M. T.E.A.M project they have submitted.  “It’s a strength and agility program and it stands for Developing Real Excellence Among Minors Together Equals a Movement and includes 3rd through 12th grades,” said McComas, “They do team work and you can also sign up for individual sessions, as well.  Not only does it help with their athletic ability, but we also incorporate life lessons and our core values of the YMCA.”

The prize money would help to expand those services.  “We would take that $5,000 and reach out into our community,” said McComas, “It would help pull kids into our program and our YMCA who otherwise might not be able to participate.”

Each person is allowed one vote per day from their cellphone, computer, and tablet devices.  The website to vote may be found here.
