The Santa Fe Agri Leaders will begin their winter series of meetings this week with the annual kick-off gathering.  Advisor Harold Bertz says the organization is targeted toward adults involved in agriculture..

“We just try to educate folks a little bit more about some of the current trends in agriculture, we have a leadership component where we try to develop leadership and advocates for agriculture where you’re a little bit better about going out and getting involved in our commodity organizations and then we also have a service component where we try and go out and do good things in our communities.”

Bertz says this week’s meeting should be interesting.

“That’ll feature Dr. Jon Hagler from  the Missouri Department of Agriculture.  That’ll be held at the Santa Fe High School Commons.”

The Thursday night meeting includes a free dinner.  It will get underway at 6:30.
