BUCHANAN COUNTY, Mo. — A driver from Savannah has been charged over a fatal crash in St. Joseph May 10.
Prosecutors in Buchanan County filed an involuntary manslaughter charge Wednesday against 23-year-old Andrew Willis.
Police in St. Joseph say they found several cans of dust-off spray in Willis’ vehicle after the crash and a blood test later confirmed the presence of a chemical used in compressed containers.
37-year-old Elvin Garcia-Silvestry died after the head-on collision at Belt Highway and Pickett Road.
Bond for Willis is set at $25,000 cash or surety and arraignment is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on July 3.
