ANDREW COUNTY, Mo. — A Savannah teenager is in serious condition after crashing his truck in Andrew County early Sunday morning.

At 4:50 a.m. Sunday, Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a crash on northbound US 71 Highway, about four miles north of Savannah. They reported discovering Sean Houston, 17, traveling north on the highway when he fell asleep and traveled off the left side of the roadway. Houston’s vehicle struck an embankment and came to rest off the west side of the roadway.

Houston was diagnosed with serious injuries, and as transported to Mosaic Life Care by Andrew County EMS. He was reportedly wearing his seatbelt at the time of impact.
