“The Ray County Scholarship Pageant is open to residents of Ray County aged 17 through 24,” Reed stated. “They can be just entering school or already be in school. We provide scholarships for the top three entries in the pageant itself.”

The categories in the pageant are interview, talent, active wear, and evening wear. Event planners are expecting more than 100 people to attend the activities.

“We have mini raffle baskets and a sports memorabilia auction going on that night,” Reed said. “All proceeds from both of those events will go into the scholarships to be given out at the end of the night.”

The entry fee for the events, which are slated to begin at 7:00 P.M. on Saturday, is $10.
