UPDATE: (08/27/16) 3:39 p.m. – SUNRISE BEACH, Mo. (AP) — The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the bodies of two men from Louisiana have been recovered after they died in a boat crash at the Lake of the Ozarks.
The patrol identified the men as 40-year-old Bradley Dunphy of Lafayette, Louisiana, and 49-year-old Richard Prince of Metairie, Louisiana.
The accident happened Friday night near Sunrise Beach when the men’s boat became airborne, rolled in the air, hit the water and flipped upside down.Their bodies were recovered about noon Saturday.
CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. – There is a temporary no wake zone around the 10 mile marker of the main channel of the Lake of the Ozark today. The Missouri Highway Patrol says the zone is for a one mile radius of the 10 mile marker starting at 7:00am, while they search of missing occupants of an overturned boat found yesterday in the lake. Richard Prince, 49, of Metaire, Louisana, was believed to be the operator and Bradley Dunphy, 40, of Lafayette, Louisana, his passenger when the boat flipped over. Both men are presumed drowned.
