Sedalia is becoming more pedestrian- and bicycle-friendly. Council passed the Livable Streets Resolution, approving the change, at Monday night’s meeting. Mayor Pro-tem Wiley Walter says it will be a gradual process, as they won’t tear up any streets to implement the changes. Council also decided that the city will pay the architect firm Peckham and Wright about $100,000 this year for ground work on a new fire station. The city needs the new station because they need a new truck for insurance purposes.
