It was a unanimous decision by the Sedalia City Council Monday night to approve several bids for roadway improvements. Mayor Elaine Horn said, of the four bids the city received for the rock salt, council accepted the proposal from Independent Salt Company, of Kanopolis, Kansas. “We always look at bids this time of year for the upcoming winter’s salt usage. It’s a good opportunity for us to get the best price and delivery dates because we get our foot in the door first with those companies. It’s a win win situation for us,” said Horn.
Council tabled the purchase of a server as part of municipal software upgrade project and recognized John DeGonia’s work on the police force.
