The Sedalia City Council is having a work session Monday evening. Click to hear KMZU’s Bob Allen talk with Sedalia City Administrator Gary Edwards:
Edwards says three items are on the agenda for the meeting including an update on improvements to the sewer system. Council will hear reports on which improvements are currently underway and which are slated to start next as well as a review of work completed to date.
The city will also update council on the proposed “Clean Up Sedalia” initiative and will seek direction on receiving bids for the demolition or repair of several buildings on West Main Street. Edwards says the council rejected previous bids on the clean-up project per the city’s recommendation. Edwards has the site has been visited several times and officials believe there are several opportunities for the city to reduce expenditures on the project by doing some work themselves.
Council convenes at 6:00 in the Mayor’s Conference Room at the Municipal Building.
