The Sedalia City Council is scheduled to meet in regular session on Monday. Click to hear KMZU’s Sarah Scott talk to city administrator Gary Edwards:
The first item on the agenda is a presentation of proposed changes to the firemen’s pension plan. According to Edwards, any action taken would not have financial consequences. “These are just some structural issues that will be discussed,” said Edwards,” They are cost neutral, so there will be no additional funding required. These are technical changes being proposed to the council.”
The council will also review phase one and two of the streetscape project and take into consideration the next step. “The staff person who will be discussing this, John Simmons, will be talking about the possibility of phase three, what it entails, and potential costs associated with that,” said Edwards,” It’s not budgeted right now, but it’s something being presented to the council as a project to consider for future budgets.”
The meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the mayor’s conference room.
