JOHNSON COUNTY, Mo. — A Sedalia driver was seriously injured during a crash in Johnson County Monday afternoon.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred in the eastbound lanes of U.S. 50 Highway east of Northwest 250 Road around 1:30 p.m. Monday.
The report indicates Garrett J. Young failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the right side of the road before striking two trees and a fence post.
Young’s vehicle then rolled over and hit an embankment.
Young, who according to the report was not wearing a seat belt, suffered critical injuries. He was taken by ambulance to Western Missouri Medical Center to receive care.
