The renovation of the Public Library in Sedalia is nearing completion of the construction phase and is expected to be done by this summer. Director Pam Hunter says the concrete work is almost done and the finishing touches will make the old library seem like new but with the history and character of the original intact.

The project is funded by a $1.5 million certificate of participation loan that will be paid back in part by a just passed tax levy. The temporary location for the library can be found at the Old McLaughlin Furniture Building at 515 South Ohio.
