A group of students at Lexington High School allegedly broke into the school Thursday night to complete their senior prank. Click to hear KMZU’s Sarah Scott speak with James Michael Patrick Alumbaugh:
As atonement, the school required the students to perform community service Friday morning. While performing chores, Alumbaugh said he took a phone call, a teacher told him to hang up, and the situation escalated. He is now banned from walking at graduation. Alumbaugh is the only participant not allowed to participate in the ceremony. He will still receive a diploma. School officials were unable to comment on the situation. Lexington’s commencement ceremony will take place Sunday at 3:00 p.m.
