SALINE COUNTY, Mo. — A Sweet Springs man will be sentenced Monday afternoon after pleading guilty to statutory rape and sodomy charges in Saline County.
Kenneth L. Walden, 28 changed his plea from not guilty to guilty at a hearing on September 10 of this year.
Walden was charged with statutory rape and statutory sodomy, both in the second degree, over an incident at the city park in Sweet Springs.
On June 19, the mother of the victim told authorities that Walden forced himself upon the 14-year-old girl.
The hearing is scheduled to start at 1:15 p.m. Monday.
