September is National Suicide Prevention Month. Suicide Prevention Lifeline lists common risk factors as, “mental disorders, alcohol or other substance use disorders, hopelessness, impulsive or aggressive tendencies, a history of trauma or abuse, major physical illness(es), previous suicide attempt(s), a family history of suicide, a job or financial loss.” If you or someone you know exhibits suicidal warning signs, you can contact 1-800-273-Talk or visit  the Suicide Prevention Lifeline website.
