LIVINGSTON COUNTY, MO – A car full of young area residents crashed Sunday afternoon causing injuries.
Missouri Highway Patrol responded to County Road 236 in Livingston County one mile west of Chillicothe where a vehicle reportedly crested a levy traveling at a high rate of speed. After the car, driven by Mercedeze Norris, 16, of Hale, struck the ground and continued over a second levy, it then hit an embankment off the side of the road. Norris received minor injuries and was treated at Hedrick Medical Center. Other area residents from Chillicothe and Brookfield were also hospitalized with minor injuries. All occupants were reportedly wearing safety devices.
