MACON, MO – Several occupants involved in a motor vehicle collision were injured Wednesday afternoon in Macon County.

A crash report by Highway Patrol lists seven persons with injuries ranging from minor to serious that were inflicted by a two vehicle collision five miles east of Macon on 36 Highway. A vehicle driven by Nathan Wilson, 20, of Anabel reportedly drove across traffic coming out of Major Avenue, and was hit by a van. Injuries to two passengers, Timothy Sweat of Bedford, Iowa, and Tracy Smith of Darlington, Mo, were described as serious. They received care at University Hospital. Other injured parties were sent to Samaritan Hospital.
