CHILLICOTHE, Mo. — A registered sex offender is arrested in Livingston County for possible registration violation.
According to Livingston County Sheriff Steve Cox, Charles Spencer Henson, 30, is most recently registered in another county and was observed in Chillicothe. Additional information led officers to the 700 block of Clay Street in Chillicothe, which is a prohibited location and Henson had not reportedly showed a registered change of address.
Henson was arrested for felony violation for failing to register as a sex offender. Henson was also arrested on two outstanding arrest warrants which include two offenses of failing to appear in court.
Henson is required to register due to 2012 felony conviction of statutory rape in Livingston County. He was convicted in January 2015 of failure to register as sex offender in Livingston County. Henson was convicted on January 14, 2020 for failure to register as sex offender in Carroll County and received a 4 year suspended sentence and placed on probation for 5 years.
Henson has been released on bond since March 18.
