State Fair Community College is hosting a BEST robotics competition.  Click to hear KMZU’s Bob Allen talk with State Fair Community College’s Director of the Technology Center and Show-Me BEST competition Kevin Dinsdale:

Kevin Dinsdale

Dinsdale says the BEST organization encourages students to pursue careers in engineering science and technology by getting them involved in a competition.  Six weeks ago, teams from 14 schools were given materials and a task, design and build a robot that can most effectively catch 3 types of genetically engineered bugs in an enclosed area.  The top four teams will advance to the regional final in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

The event is free to attend and starts at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center on the State Fair Campus.
