State Fair Community College is partnering with two state agencies to rebuild a structure at Camp Pin Oak. Click to hear KMZU’s Janet Adkison talk with State Fair Community College’s Michael Ash:
Ash says the school and the departments of natural resources and economic development will collaborate on the dining lodge destroyed by fire last year. Students in the Construction Technology program will be given an opportunity to work on this project. The project touches on every element of the program from masonry and stonework to the final building inspection.
According to Ash, the $1.5 M project will be funded by a Community Development Block Grant from the Department of Economic Development.
The three groups broke ground on the project on September 23rd and is scheduled to be finished in August of 2012.
