The Annual Jingle on the Green event is back at the State Fair Community College campus in Sedalia. “It’s a free holiday celebration,” Kelchner details the evening, “We line the campus with thousands of luminaries, we play holiday music, and we have themed food and deserts. Then we bring in live music from area schools, from their choirs and bands as well as area churches, to sing and provide holiday music.”
All of the classic and fun holiday musts are there, but the ‘Holiday Fair’ portion of this event is a child’s Christmas wonderland. “Sometimes it’s in line with the current exhibition,” said Kelchner, ” Sometimes it’s aligned with just a holiday craft, but it’s a really popular station because you know how much kids like to make crafts and take something home with them. That will be happening in the Daum Museum foyer and there will also be food in that area as well. It’s a great spot for kids to talk to Santa and Ginger the Elf and then head on over to the museum to make some crafts, and of course have a cookie along the way.”
Live performances from SFCC Jazz Runners, Knob Noster High School Band, Sacred Heart Band, Lincoln High School Chamber Choir, Boonville High School Chamber Choir, SFCC Chamber Choir, Warsaw High School Madrigal Choir, The Marshall Choraliers, California Middle School Choir, The Sedalia Chorale, SFCC Jazz Choir, and Sweet Adeline’s Show Me Chorus.
