RAY COUNTY, Mo.- Earlier this afternoon, KMZU received a news tip from a listener, saying there had reportedly been an incident at Lawson Middle School in Ray County.

In a statement from Lawson Superintendent, Roger Schmitz, it was noted the incident had to do with disciplinary action toward a student who had a list containing the names of multiple students. Schmitz said the student in question had been detained.
Schmitz also assured no students were in any danger and said the release was put out to ensure the trust of parents within the district.
