UPDATE: Two people are in custody following a shooting late Tuesday night in Howard County.  The sheriff’s office responded around 9:00 p.m. to a report of shots fired in the small town of Armstrong.  One of the suspects was said to have been captured in Chariton County after a brief pursuit.  No serious injuries were reported.

Howard County Prosecutors filed charges Wednesday against Matthew Campbell, 25, of Salisbury, and Orvel Campbell, 46, of Armstrong.  Matthew is accused of assault, armed criminal action, and endangering the welfare of a child.  His bond was set at $100,000.  Orvel was charged with hindering prosecution.  He is being held in lieu of $30,000.

According to a KMZU listener shots were fired in the Howard County town of Armstrong.  The Chariton County Sheriff’s office has confirmed the suspect was captured in Chariton County and is being transported to Howard County.  We will have more details as they become available.
