UPDATE: 2:31 p.m.: The prosecuting attorney has recommended a 10 year sentence.  Defense in presenting now. 

UPDATE 2:29 p.m.: Prosecuting attorney is recapping the details of the case.

UPDATE: 2:23 p.m.: Proceedings have resumed.  The victim’s mother is reading a letter to the court. 

UPDATE 11:38 a.m.:  The defense attorney has misplaced three pages of the SAR (sentencing assessment report).  Sentencing has been rescheduled to 1:30 this afternoon.

UPDATE 11:33 a.m.: The motion for retrial was denied by the court.  According to KMZU’s Johnson, the judge said prior to testimony that he could not impeach a jury decision, but that he would hear testimony.  Judge has now told Sisco’s defense attorney that he can take it up with the court of appeals because the law says he cannot impeach. 

UPDATE 11:30 a.m.:  KMZU’s Ashley Johnson reports that jurors are testifying that  the foreperson for the jury had a conflict to the case because of childhood experiences, none of which were stated as sexual misconduct to her.  The original vote in the matter was 6-6, but they were not allowed to have a hung jury, so witnesses are saying they had to change their votes. 

UPDATE 11:00 a.m.: KMZU’s Ashley Johnson is in the Pettis County courtroom this morning and will be proving updates.  There has been discussion of a motion for retrial.  At this time, former jurors are testifying before the court. 

A Sweet Springs Resident is set for a Sentence Hearing this morning. According to online court records, Larry Sisco, 55, was found guilty by jury trial in August for child molestation of the 1st Degree. Sisco’s hearing will take place at the Pettis County Circuit Court at 9:00am.
