As part of National Public Health Week, the Livingston County Health Center will be hosting a Skin Cancer Screening. For the second year, Cleaver Dermatology of Kirksville will be providing these screenings free of charge to Livingston County residents. The clinic is being held Friday, April 11th, by appointment only.

Appointments are limited so be sure to call early to reserve your spot. If you make an appointment and need to cancel, please contact the center as soon as possible so they can fill your slot.

“It’s important to remember that skin cancer doesn’t just effect seniors, it can happen at any age,” said Ann Burchett, Public Information Supervisor for the Health Center. “Sometimes the cancer will occur where you will never see it.”

To make your appointment for this Skin Cancer Screening Clinic, call the health center at 660-646-5506. Anyone outside of the Livingston County area should contact their local health department and ask if they offer these services.
