The City of Slater and the Marshall Habilitation Center have announced a new construction project. Click to hear KMZU’s Kristie Cross speak with Mayor Dr. Stephen Allegri:
The development is expected to generate new opportunities and additional revenue for the town. “The Hab Center, in conjuction with Marshall-Saline Development and the City of Slater, is going to build three new habitat houses here in the very near future,” said Allegri, “This will save jobs and keep these people here. It will generate about $1.3 million per year to the community in payroll and they do all their shopping here.”
Beyond a doubt, this is a positive step for Slater. “With the staff and administration this is 43 jobs,” said Allegri, “They do all their grocery shopping locally and they will purchase the supplies for the houses here. So, it’s a great thing for the community.”
The project is scheduled for completion within the next six months.
