A motions hearing is on the docket today for a Slater man.  According to online court records, Jerrad Gilpin, 21, was originally charged with two counts of 2nd degree burglary and one count of theft or stealing $500 dollars or more but less than $25,000 and was sentenced to 5 years probation.  He is scheduled to go before a judge for a motions hearing on a probation violation and, if convicted, will serve his back up term of 5 years.  Court proceedings get underway at 10 a.m. this morning in Saline County Circuit court.
