A Richmond man charged with assault and armed criminal action is set to attend a criminal setting Wednesday afternoon in a Ray County courtroom after being continued from early September.
Court records indicate Michael Dorton, 21, entered a plea of not guilty in April. His attorney has requested continuances in July and August which were granted.
Dorton is accused of allegedly striking his mother in the head with a sledge hammer in January.
Wednesday’s proceedings begin at 1:30 p.m.
