CARROLL COUNTY, Mo. — The race to fill the vacant seat for the 39th District of the Missouri House of Representatives is quickly drawing to a close.

Some voters, however, are concerned about impending snowfall in the Ray, Carroll and Chariton County area Tuesday.

Those voters have nothing to fear, however, as the election will go on as planned no matter the weather.

Anyone who is concerned about getting out to vote Tuesday will have time to cast their absentee ballot until 5:00 p.m. Monday at the Carroll County Clerk’s office in Carrollton, the Ray County Clerk’s office in Richmond and the Chariton County Clerk’s Office in Keytesville.

Voters will have their choice between Republican Peggy McGaugh and Democrat Ethan Perkinson to fill the seat vacated in 2017 by Joe Don McGaugh upon assumption of a judgeship in Carroll County.
