RANDOLPH COUNTY, Mo. — Officers responded to the scene of a two vehicle accident this morning in Randolph County.
The incident took place on Missouri Highway 3, 3/4 of a mile north of Mount Airy when Charles T. Gibson, 59 was traveling northbound.
Gibson’s vehicle slid on the snow covered roadway and traveled into the path of a southbound vehicle driven by Owen D. Thornburg, 18.
According to a report by highway patrol, it is unknown if Gibson was wearing a safety device while Thornburg was.
Thornburg was not injured while Gibson was taken to University Hospital with serious injuries.
