McDONALD COUNTY, Mo. – A southwestern Missouri resident drowned in the Elk River Monday afternoon.

The Mo. State Highway Water Patrol reports Bradley Zeorlin, 51, of Noel, Mo., was swimming in the Elk River about a mile west of Noel, when he went under the water and did not resurface.

His body was recovered and pronounced dead at the scene. This is the seventh drowning reported for 2016 in Troop D’s jurisdiction.
