Thirteen members of the local law enforcement community in Chillicothe ran the torch for the Special Olympics on Monday.  Click to hear KMZU’s Sarah Scott speak with Investigator Carrie Piper, who ran the torch:

Carrie Piper

Piper says officers started running the flame Monday in Cameron, and then moved on to Gallatin, and Trenton before coming to Chillicothe.  Other agencies in the state will run the torch through the week.  Its journey will end on May 29th in Columbia, when the summer Special Olympic games begin.  Special Olympics is often the chosen beneficiary of law enforcement’s volunteerism.
