The Lincoln Jr. High Girls Basketball team completed their regular season with a 26-21 victory over the Tipton Cardinals on Thursday night. Lincoln jumped out to a 12-11 first quarter lead but fell behind at halftime by 14-17 score. Outscoring the home team Tipton girls in the second half by a 12-4 margin however gave Lincoln the victory. Sloan Swearngin led the young Lady Card’s with 12 points and Seana Hansen scored 8. Selbey Vandaveer contributed 4 points and Paige Bybee’s 2 points completed the scoring for Lincoln. Lincoln’s record now stands at 9 wins against only 3 losses. The next action for the Lincoln team will be in the Kaysinger Conference Tournament which begins on Monday February 13 and will be held at LaMonte. This report is filed by Marlin Hammond, Coach.
Lincoln defeated Tipton in Jr. High Boys Basketball on Thursday night 36-13. Lincoln was led in scoring by Corbin Mertgen with 20 points, Heath Renno with 7 points, and Connor Spunaugle with 4.

The Concordia High School Project Prom will be serving a Mexican dinner Friday night to raise money for a drug and alcohol free after-prom event. The menu will include homemade enchiladas, rice, beans, chips and salsa, drink and dessert. The Mexican dinner will be served Friday night from 5 – 8 as part of the basketball game that evening. Cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children under 13. There will also be a silent auction that will run through halftime of the boys basketball game on Friday night. The fundraiser is sponsored by the Junior Class parents at Concordia High School.

Braymer High School would like to fill an opening in our tournament for next year. This will be the 56th Annual Braymer Invitational Tournament and the dates are January 7-12. We need to fill a spot in both boys and girls divisions.
