LOS ANGELES (AP) — Allen Craig singled home the go-ahead run in the seventh inning last night as the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 2-1. Lance Lynn pitched six innings of five-hit ball to pick up his first victory since late July for the Cardinals. Adrian Gonzalez had an RBI double for the Dodgers. The Cardinals will face off with the Dodgers again tonight: first pitch at 9:10 p.m. Central time.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Denard Span’s RBI double in the 10th inning last night gave the Minnesota Twins a 4-3 victory over the Kansas City Royals. Trevor Plouffe and Josh Willingham both homered for the Twins. Catcher Salvador Perez had a pair of RBIs for the Royals. The Royals are home for a weekend series against the Angels of Anaheim; first pitch tonight at 7:10 p.m.

(Orchard Park, NY)  —  Two teams coming off blowout losses in Week One will try to bounce back this week as the Chiefs face the Bills at Ralph Wilson Stadium.  The Chiefs suffered a 40-24 home loss to Atlanta last Sunday.

ST. LOUIS (AP) — The St. Louis rams have re-signed quarterback Kellen Clemens. Defensive tackle Darell Scott was released yesterday to make room for Clemens, who was released in the final round of cuts before the opener. Rookie Austin Davis was Sam Bradford’s backup for last week’s game against Washington.

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) — Former Missouri running back Derrick Washington is back on the field at Division II Tuskegee University in Alabama. Washington served 120 days in prison for felony sexual assault involving a former University of Missouri tutor. Washington rushed for 155 yards and two touchdowns in Tuskegee’s most recent game.
